Eliscia is a Ph.D. candidate in Clinical Psychology at Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU). She received her B.A. in Psychology from the University of British Columbia (UBC) and her M.A. in Clinical Psychology from TMU. Eliscia has received training from various hospitals and clinical sites in Ontario, including the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH), St. Michael’s Hospital, Remedy Institute, and Forward Thinking Psychological Services.
As a biracial individual, Eliscia understands the complexities of navigating multiple cultural identities and brings this personal insight into her therapeutic practice. She has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults from diverse cultures, sexual orientations, and abilities. Eliscia has assessed and treated individuals presenting with a wide range of psychological challenges, including anxiety disorders (e.g., social anxiety disorder), mood disorders (e.g., depression), obsessive-compulsive and related disorders (e.g., OCD, skin-picking), trauma- and stressor-related disorders (e.g., PTSD), bipolar and related disorders, ADHD, and eating disorders.
Eliscia takes a collaborative approach to therapy and believes that treatment should be tailored to each person’s unique goals, values, and needs. She aims to foster resilience among those she works with. Her empathetic approach enables her to develop strong connections with clients, helping them to achieve their personal and emotional goals.
